Remote role-playing games...
By Mathieu CARBONNEAUX
These two software programs allow you to play classic role-playing games remotely.
You will be able to:
• Play role-playing game sessions with an unlimited number of players;
• Share maps by drawing them freehand or importing them from JPEG, PNG or BMP images;
• Annotate your maps, draw on them using the many tools provided for this purpose, hide certain areas that should only be seen by the GM, then progressively reveal them to the players’ eyes;
• Save your current maps, either individually or grouped as scenarios. You can thus resume an adventure exactly where it left off;
• Display images to other players to show them your character, places or any other narrative element;
• Place PCs and NPCs on the maps, then move them, orient them, and track their health status;
• Retrieve all maps and images already opened if you connect during a game;
• Chat between players using public or private chats;
• Make dice rolls, even complex ones, with a simple command line (dice rolls for Shadowrun V4 are supported);
• Play ambient music during the game, which will be played simultaneously at all players’ locations;
• Take notes using the integrated text editor, then save them (in HTML format) to be able to open them again during the next session.
