Lightweight Web Server... Xitami X5 and SMT framework... fast, small, secure, portable...

Xitami X5 is a small web server entirely based on Apache’s APR framework and on the iMatix SMT framework.

The “State Machine Threadlets” framework is a multithreaded and event-driven framework developed by iMatix for the thread/socket model in GPL.

SMT is a framework for building high-performance multithreaded servers.

SMT forms part of the iMatix “Base/2” technology toolkit.

And the framework looks super interesting…

And what’s more, it’s the same framework (SMT) that is used in OpenAMQ!!! I understand better why OpenAMQ displays such huge performance numbers in messages per second…
