http://www.01net.com/editorial/399258/le-scandale-des-amplis-home-cinema-hd-sans-le-son-hd/
Open source distributed jobs scheduler...
I was looking for replacements for the big proprietary ones like $universe, BMC’s control-m, CA’s autosys and tivoli workload…
Not easy… there’s a gap in this area…
The only ones I found are:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Grid_Engine
and
http://jobscheduler.sourceforge.net/
Sun Grid seems pretty good… but very grid-oriented… but it seems it can be used as a distributed scheduler…
Job scheduler seems simpler…
Otherwise I found a French portal on schedulers…

Pidgin (ex GAIM) and Live Communicator server support!
Pidgin (ex gaim) has evolved a lot and now supports plugins…
http://pidgin.im/ http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pidgin_(logiciel)
In fact, Microsoft used SIP for Live Communicator but extended it… It integrated NTLM authentication notably… And someone implemented the LCS extensions as a plugin (based on pidgin’s SIP plugin):

An international agreement on intellectual property defense is currently being negotiated in total opacity.
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accord_commercial_anti-contrefa%C3%A7on
Treaty on intellectual property and copyright
It would impose on signatory countries severe limitations on intellectual property law affecting the Internet and the trade in products protected by this right. In 2008, this treaty is being secretly negotiated by government representatives from said countries.
If adopted, the treaty would establish an international coalition intended to oppose copyright violations, imposing strict enforcement of intellectual property laws in different countries. The agreement would allow customs officials to search laptops, MP3 players and cell phones for products that violate copyright. It would also impose new obligations to cooperate on Internet service providers (ISPs), including the disclosure of information about their customers while restricting the use of computer tools protecting their privacy. The proposal, as it is being negotiated in 2008, would contain a plan to encourage developing countries to join this agreement.
